Why Red Tape Foundation Exists
Red Tape Foundation grew out of years of hands-on work helping people navigate systems that are easy to misunderstand: employment paperwork, safety requirements, nonprofit administration, business filings, compliance notices, and public-agency rules.
Founder Steven Funkhouser has worked across human resources, labor compliance, workplace safety, nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service. The common thread is practical translation: helping people understand what a form, notice, deadline, or requirement actually means before it turns into a bigger problem.
The Foundation exists to make that kind of practical guidance more accessible through education, training, plain-English resources, and mission-supporting services.
